1. Mickey Mouse Should be Killed in all cases ?
A saudi cleric says Mickey Mouse ‘must die’ ?
Calling the loveable Disney rodent “one of Satan’s soldiers,” Sheikh Muhammad Munajid said household mice and their animated counterparts must be rubbed out, the U.K.’s Daily Telegraph reported Monday.
“Mickey Mouse has become an awesome character, even though according to Islamic law, Mickey Mouse should be killed in all cases.”
Munajid, a former diplomat at the Saudi embassy in Washington D.C., made the remarks on Arab television network al-Majd TV after he was asked to give Islam’s teaching on mice.
And Mickey wasn’t alone. Munajid also mentioned Jerry from “Tom and Jerry” fame is on his list of “impure” cartoon mice.

2. Emoticons are Forbidden in Islam ?
Fatwa: Emoticons are Un-Islamic,” from the Jawa Report, November 12 :
“Emoticons are forbidden because of its imitation to Allah’s creatures whether it is original or mixture or even deformed one and since the picture is the face and the face is what makes the real picture then emoticons which represent faces that express emotions then all that add up to make them Haram.”
Another fatwa states the following:
“A woman should not use these images when speaking to a man who is not her mahram, because these faces are used to express how she is feeling, so it is as if she is smiling, laughing, acting shy and so on, and a woman should not do that with a non-mahram man.It is only permissible for a woman to speak to men in cases of necessity, so long as that is in a public chat room and not in private correspondence.”
3. Fatwas on Football
Saudi newspaper Al Watan lampooned one very real edict setting out new rules for football. Ridiculous demands included “do not play with 11 people like the heretics, Jews, and Christians”, and “play in your pyjamas or regular clothes (because) colored shorts and numbered T-shirts are not Muslim clothing”.
4. Anti- Polio Fatwa
Polio is actually increasing in India, Nigeria, Afghanistan and Pakistan.
Because an anti-polio fatwa by anti-Western clerics forbid Pakistani children from immunizations, because the clerics are saying the vaccine is a conspiracy to make Muslims sterile. Ironically, it’s the clerics’ plans that would produce this result, as dead/paralytic kids don’t breed all that much.
5. Fatwa on Urine is Permissible?
Egypt’s Grand Mufti, Sheikh Ali Gomaa, drinking the urine of Muhammad is deemed a great blessing.
Prophet Muhammad never claimed that he himself was divine—so why does his piss have magic properties? Failing to pass the laugh test with Muslim scholars, Mufti later recanted, saying it was only his “personal opinion”.
Eeek ! Disgusting !
6. Fatwa on BreastFeeding
In May 2007, Ezzat Attiya wondered how unrelated men and women could work together in the same office, when Islam forbids men and women who aren’t married or related to be alone together.
His answer: let her suckle him FIVE TIMES. Yes, that’s right, an adult female breastfeeding an adult male coworker will defuse all sexual tension in the office.
See, the female worker will now be the male worker’s foster mother, and they can be alone together anytime. Attiya’s ruling was intergalactically mocked, and quickly condemned on the homefront as well.
He was later suspended from his job, pilloried in Arab newspapers, and issued a hasty retraction saying it was a “bad interpretation of a particular case.”
7. Fatwas on Fruits and Vegetables (For Women only )
The fatwa said that women shouldn’t touch fruit/vegetables such as bananas, cucumbers, carrots and eggplants because they resembled male genitalia
Muslim cleric calling for a ban on women touching phallic-shaped fruit. It was bound to elicit outrage and ridicule alike.
Reaction to the Fatwa :
Social media forums aflame with Twitter users suggesting other fruit that should be banned for resembling female anatomy (hint: peaches). Wahaha !
8. Fatwas on Women’s appearance in public
Saudi Women Must cover One Eye !
A new prohibition may be added to the long list of those placed on women in Saudi Arabia: A new sentence according to Islamic law (fatwa) determines that women exiting the doorways of their homes must cover one of their eyes.
According to the sheikh, “revelation of both eyes behind the veil is likely to encourage women to put make-up on and accentuate their eyes. This is corrupt behavior which conflicts with Islamic principles.”
So, how will the women conduct their daily lives with one eye?
According to al-Habadan, “when a woman goes out into the street or to a public place she will wear a veil and cover one eye with a piece of cloth.
When she goes shopping and wants to assess a product, she will completely remove the piece of cloth and will be able to use both eyes for a limited amount of time.”
9. Fatwa against Cycling
The fatwa, issued in response to a query, says that Muslim girls above the age of 13 should not ride cycles as it then becomes difficult for them to remain under the veil.
Arshad Farroqui, chairman of the seminary’s Darul Ifta (department of fatwa), said it would not be possible for the girls to wear “burqa” while they were cycling. “According to the Shariat (Islamic laws), purda (veil) is essential for Muslim girls,” Farooqui said. “Any action which creates an obstacle to wearing the veil is prohibited in Islam. Besides, cycling also has an adverse effect on their (girls) physique.”
Reacting to the fatwa, All Indian Muslim Women Personal Law Board chairperson Shaista Ambar said Muslim girls, especially from the rural areas, would find it extremely difficult to go to schools if cycling was to be banned.
10. Fatwa : Illegal for women to work, support family !
LUCKNOW: Darul Uloom Deoband, the self-appointed guardian for Indian Muslims, in a Talibanesque fatwa that reeked of tribal patriarchy, has decreed that it is “haram” and illegal according to the Sharia for a family to accept a woman’s earnings. Clerics at the largest Sunni Muslim seminary after Cairo’s Al-Azhar said the decree flowed from the fact that the Sharia prohibited proximity of men and women in the workplace.
“It is unlawful (under the Sharia law) for Muslim women to work in the government or private sector where men and women work together and women have to talk with men frankly and without a veil,” said the fatwa issued by a bench of three clerics. The decree was issued over the weekend, but became public late on Monday, seminary sources said..

In classical Greek mythology
Pandora was the first woman on earth. Zeus ordered Hephaestus, the god of craftsmanship, to create her, so he did—using water and earth.
When Prometheus stole fire from heaven, Zeus took vengeance by presenting Pandora to Epimetheus, Prometheus’ brother.
With her, Pandora was given a beautiful jar which she was not to open under any circumstance.
But Pandora always wondered what was in the box Zeus gave her. Finally she couldn’t hold her curiosity down anymore.
She opened the box, and from it flew hate, anger, sickness, poverty, and every bad thing in the world. She slammed the lid down and managed to trap the final evil still in the box: hopelessness.
So today, even when the going gets tough, every human still has hope.
Pandora was deeply saddened by what she had done, and was afraid that she would have to face Zeus’ wrath, since she had failed her duty; however, Zeus did not punish her, because he knew this would happen.
————————————-
Conclusion:
Pandora’s Box is a story about how evil came to exist in the world; in this Greek myth, evil came out of a box. The box did contain one good thing, however — Hope. As the Brief Retelling tells it, “So now, when there is trouble and sadness among us humans, we have Hope to make us feel that tomorrow will be better.”
The End =)
